Bake or Die Pie Recipes

Bake or Die first-person POV holding a six-ingredient pie with strawberry-headed zombie and crawling zombie meat as filling, cash signs floating
First-person view of a six-ingredient Bake or Die pie — cash signs are the in-game UI showing the sell value building as ingredients stack.

Pies are the entire economy of Bake or Die. The pie system is six ingredient slots per pie, with a sell price that scales hard with how many of those slots are filled. This page covers the confirmed pie mechanics and sell prices, ingredient sources, and which meats stack the highest cash per round.

Pie pricing is non-linear. A one-ingredient Savory Meat Pie sells for $11. A six-ingredient Savory Meat Pie sells for $55 — exactly 5x. There is no scenario in Bake or Die where 1-ingredient pies are worth baking once you have enough meat for full pies.

How the 6-slot pie system works

Every pie tray has six slots. You drag ingredients into the slots, then bake. The Bake or Die bake process is mostly instant — only the oven step takes real time. While the oven cooks, run the Bake or Die grinder on more corpses to prep the next batch.

  • 1 slot filled = base meat pie, $11 sell price in Bake or Die.
  • 6 slots filled = $55 sell price (5x the 1-slot pie).
  • Mix premium meat with regular meat → higher base price + special effect (e.g. explosive pies).

Spoiled corpses in Bake or Die produce nothing. Grind them before they rot or you waste a night's worth of meat.

Ingredient sources

Better pies start with better meat. Premium ingredients drop from special-variant zombies — they look distinct (modified heads, fire visual). Always grind those zombies first.

Highest-value pie strategy

  1. Hunt special-headed zombies during the night phase. They drop carrots and yeast.
  2. Burn down Fire Zombies in Bake or Die to harvest Explosive Meat (1 Explosive + 1 normal = explosive pie).
  3. Run the Bake or Die grinder during day phase the moment the oven starts. No idle time.
  4. Always fill all six slots in your pie tray before baking. 1-slot pies are pure waste.
  5. Stack pies in batches and sell when the cash bonus thresholds hit.

Recipes data status

Bake or Die has more pie variants than what we can verify in public text guides today. The 6-slot mechanic, $11→$55 price scaling and Explosive Meat synergy are verified. The complete Bake or Die named-pie list (e.g. specific carrot/yeast pies) is currently marked needs in-game verification in our recipes data. We will expand this page as soon as a primary source confirms or as we capture in-game data ourselves.
